Rampant nutrition business acquirer, Royal DSM, has splashed the cash for the ninth time in two years – this time to the tune of €495m ($634m) on US-based multinational nutrient blending giant, Fortitech (€212m/$270m annual turnover).
DSM has opened a new multi-million-dollar state-of-the-art nutrition innovation center in Parsippany, New Jersey, at the US headquarters of its Nutritional Products business.
DSM Nutritional Products is emphasising quality as the crucial
point of differentiation between the vitamin C it produces in the
green hills of Scotland - now known as Quali-C - and cheaper
material from Asia.
